Solace

I don't lose sleep if i'm awake and dreaming
I don't lose sleep at all if i'm awake and dreaming
We blend into one, fading in and falling out
Treading water yet knee deep in a coral reef of crowns
So keep dreaming of what awaits
I can't keep calm under the weight
The water paves the shore
Dragging us down to the ocean floor
As you watch me flee to the sea where we can be free
The shoals they sink, now heavy as stone
Watch me flee to the sea
We might as well be gone
Watch me flee to the sea
Bereft of hours adorned
Watch me flee to the sea

I stumble through these valleys shaped
with forgotten faces drawn in glaciers
Painting blueprints on canvas with our bare hands
and massing sails from sunlight to foreign lands
We will sit in the solstice one day
I’ve made galleries of gorgeous dreams,
where rhapsody, polyphony and I cry vehemently
hanging pictures of epiphanies seems a tragedy
Do colours bleed through you normally
Or is this a mildly unusual occurrence?
Has the tide in your veins suddenly resurfaced?
Clouds begin to roll, storms draw near to our souls
Breeze has broken, brace yourself in shadow
Drowned in deluge, the thunder bellows
I’ve made galleries of gorgeous dreams,
where rhapsody, polyphony and I cry vehemently
Hanging pictures of epiphanies seems a tragedy
Cast away the colour and live with me in harmony
Now it spreads, through our bodies,
through our bones and our beds
Through foundations of homes,
rotting the new and embracing the old
Leaving their canvas colourless and cold,
unworthy of what I owe
When we open the winter’s end
We'll weave a needle through the thread
As the summer solstice settles in
We'll sit in the solstice some day
I’ve made galleries of gorgeous dreams,
where rhapsody, polyphony and I cry vehemently
Hanging pictures of epiphanies seems a tragedy
Cast away the colour and live with me in harmony
We'll sit in the solstice some day
(I've made galleries of gorgeous dreams)
We will sit in the solstice one day

At the very edge of the world
where unfamiliar visions of ourselves hang on the whim of every word
here at the edge of the world
where the magic may dispel reflections of intentions we hid so well
I’m just another millstone to fit the mold
Ideals shift in shape as the verses unfold
Will you stand with me at the beginning of the end?
Divide in dissonance, the eclipse collides as we cover up in bed
Will you run away with me to a place where the sky meets the sea,
Shed away this serpent skin and live momentarily?
Who we are and who we’re meant to be aren’t different entirely
Stuck like a fly in a spiders web
See through this lens, the moonlight in suspense
first wooden then stone, the fire is cold
like a fish out of water that doesn’t belong
being drenched in maelstroms that manifest rainbows overhead
in dilated spectrum's that appear diamond clear
Will you stand with me at the beginning of the end?
Divide in dissonance, the eclipse collides as we cover up in bed
Will you run away with me to a place where the sky meets the sea,
Shed away this serpent skin and live momentarily?
In beds beyond the evening light
we’ll constellate the cosmos in a million fireflies
Shimmering like magic in your eyes
Let’s take it back one more time
Will you run away with me to a place where the sky meets the sea?
Shed away this serpent skin and live
With injections taking form and poison pulsing
With deafening pauses leaving room for second guessing
Elephantiasis roaming and bloating in my brain
With vipers chanting from my veins
To sweeten the pain
Will you stand with me at the beginning of the end?
Divide in dissonance, the eclipse collides as we cover up in bed
Will you run away with me to a place where the sky meets the sea,
Shed away this serpent skin and live momentarily?

Neverland
04:21
|

Hey diddle diddle, the fox plays the fiddle
As the man on the moon plays the fool
So little bo-peep, pay no mind to your sheep
Wolves are hiding under their wool
Every tale told leaves these kids as crows
They caw and call for you
In this nursery the ebb and flow seed into me
In this fallacy the hinges on the door rust and recede
So pin up your parasols and walk me to the ledge
Where between your toes you'll feel the sand of Neverland
Here on the banks of time where we'd never tread ever again
I am sea more than I am land
Searching for a secret I’ll never understand
Yet still I build these statues with stone-like, calloused hands
For the world of the wild eyed
Atop the hills from where they stand
I am sea more than I am land
And as we fall from the sky, unto the mighty divide
For a plague of the stars sings a choir of our scars
On the second star to the right, head straight on until morning
Until morning
Now it’s taking shape
As I follow my feet, they lead me to this place
While the ships are flying, tell me am I still me?
If my shadow is stitched to my heels
Let it know that I just can't be free
Because we're owed to a place where wishes are like paper planes
But can't be thrown away
To levitate and fold in like a paper crane
In a town where we won’t age a day
Imagination awaits
I am sea more than I am land
Searching for a secret I’ll never understand
Yet still I build these statues with stone-like, calloused hands
For the world of the wild eyed
Atop the hills from where they stand
I am sea more than I am land
As the night rolls in the white meets it
To shed away the stars so the dawn can live
These similar states of night and day
Wait in the shadows to one day be the same
I am sea more than I am land
Searching for a secret I’ll never understand
Yet still I build these statues with stone-like, calloused hands
For the world of the wild eyed
Atop the hills from where they stand
I am sea more than I am land

Bastion
03:21

It’s never ending
as darkness overgrows, thorns wander in like weeds
but we can’t find a way to be set free
with cold green eyes envied in hue, giving glances in ways we can’t wade through
but we can shine a light on the true you
So we bide our time on a belt of stars fighting for no cause
Let the light cast the shadow high and wide enough to
Step through into the gentle night
Step through into the gentle night
It’s never ending
In a place where we’re all strangers to ourselves
Devouring danger tooth to tooth
It’s a shame we’re worlds away in a bastion of decay
That’s hollowed from within and left to stay
At the end of the day
Voices will fade
We will remain, being remade
The starlight escapes
In destiny’s grace
We will remain, being remade
We never think to say what we’re meaning
And now it’s our fault for being misleading
Striking a chord within our heartstrings
Can we move past this path we’re not seeing
It’s never ending
In a place where we’re all strangers to ourselves
Devouring danger tooth to tooth
It’s a shame we’re worlds away in a bastion of decay
That’s hollowed from within and left to stay
And in the wake of these days the lights have been blown out
For your sake you should wait for when the night has fallen
In the dark, in the rain we’ll play
In the dark, in the rain we’ll play, following in our decay
In the dark, in the rain we’ll play, in the ruins of our decay
In the dark, in the rain we’ll play, following in our decay

Lionheart

I see it here and now
a scattered dream that’s like a far off memory
I want to line the pieces up
There’s so many missing from our lonely hearts
When the morning comes
we’ll celebrate their dawning with the rising of the sun
Every now and then I promise and pretend
That the future’s in my hands
But I know it’s the past worth standing in
Dancing out of fables into cities made meridian blue
Like we’re in a fairy tale, birth by sleep anew
So tell me was there ever a page that laid our words to waste?
So tell me can we sever the astral space and wander our own way?
Don’t look up now
And keep your sleeves wound tight around your wrists
Don’t turn around
You’ll never know what this key fits
A kingdom and a crown
Steeped in gold to inflate the ego
In streets my heart won’t know, my feet still follow
And now the morning has shown
It melts away the mountain-tops in its glorious glow
I see it here and now
A scattered dream that’s like a far off memory
I want to line the pieces up
From our hearts
Dancing out of fables into cities made meridian blue
Like we’re in a fairy tale, birth by sleep anew
So tell me was there ever a page that laid our words to waste?
So tell me can we sever the astral space and wander our own way?
We pray that our sorrows will end
We hope that our hearts will blend
Only time can tell if our bodies will mend
I’ll fall into the starless night
Between stained glass lines
Letting go of every lion heart
That I’ve torn out tonight
So separate and digitate
I’ll find my own way through the towers of ivory
Dancing out of fables into cities made meridian blue
Like we’re in a fairy tale, birth by sleep anew
So tell me was there ever a page that laid our words to waste?
So tell me can we sever the astral space and wander our own way?
